A reminder for
today
Three things will last
forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love. (1

Happy Valentine’s Day! Love is in the air and everyone has
something red on to celebrate the day of love or rather more love than usual. We
bought chocolates for the teachers and my youngest one was so excited to give
his to his teacher that he ran into the class straight for her and gave it to
her, surprising his teacher completely. Obviously, he was very happy with
himself. It is nice to give and when we can give love, it is even greater,
since love is the greatest. Do you have any plans for today? Do you have anything
special planned? It is so nice to see people do that little extra for their
loved ones.
We do not have much planned. It is a school night so we will
keep it safely at home. We bought mom a big bunch of roses and a chocolate. She
was very happy and off course I am not allowed to eat any chocolates at this
time so I am a little envious. This week we started full prep diet so sugar and
salt is down to the minimum.
So what can we say about love. There is no greater gift that
to give love, because with love comes a whole world of great things:
Love is patient and kind. Love is not
jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It
is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not
rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love
never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every
circumstance.
Love is God and God is love and with love there is no hurt
and no pain and no hate. If we love the way God wants us to love we will align ourselves
completely with his heart. Today all you need is love. Give it and accept it. Let
love be the driving force of who you are and let love shine through you so that
the light will be visible to all. Through love we will conquer the enemy,
because he functions with hate and destruction and we counter with love and
rejuvenation.
Lord. Let your love fill our hearts so that we can transfer
it to all we see and that everyone will feel the warmth of your love so that
every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that you are God. Help us as
we put on your armour so that we will be fearless and bold. In Jesus name.
