Today Reminder (Judgement) – 24 July 2018

A reminder for today
Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. (Matthew 7:1-2)

As a Christian we are often scrutinized by the way we live in comparison to the Word of God. You see there are many Christians, but do we see Christianity in the way they live and act. It is not easy to follow in the footsteps of Jesus and to live according to His teachings. Take love your neighbour for example. We read the scripture and we see that we should love our neighbour, but we then argue who our neighbour actually is. Finally, we end up treating only the ones we like as we would like to be treated and not even always. We know we should not swear or lie but we do. We know we should not judge people, but we do. We remember what people did to us and we do not forgive them for their mistakes. Then we jump up and get angry when people scrutinize and condemn Christianity.

Jesus came, and He gave us the perfect example how we should live, and He gave us so many guidelines plus He send the Holy Spirit to help us and leas us. Yet, we still fall short of what is expected. It is surely not easy, but we can start it step by step. Step 1 is to love yourself and to be happy with who you are. Being happy with yourself will keep you from wanting to be like someone else and understanding that God made you and created you perfectly despite what you think will add to your self-esteem and self-image. Step 2 is to understand what Jesus did. He gave His life for you and died for your sins then rose from the dead to free you from this burden. This means that your past is in the past and gone and forgotten. You need to do the same. Step 3 is to take time to study the Word of God. I say study, because read will not do it. You need to study it and keep it close. Step 4 is to start implementing the guidelines given in the Bible. This is to stop judging and to love unconditionally. To understand that when the Bible talks about your neighbour it means everyone.
When the Bible says you must be nice to your enemies and pray for them, you should do it. Step 5 is to live your life in accordance with these guidelines and to listen to the Holy Spirit as He guides you.

Finally, it is not going to be easy, but with God all is possible. So, stop looking at wall and start to see the way over it. You are loved, and you are special so do not live a mediocre life. Live a life with meaning and purpose that is driven by the will to show your Creator to the world around you and to carry His message.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
