Every day we face the world and meet all kinds of people. Are we concerned about what people think of us or are we more concerned with what God think of us. Sometimes we steer clear of confrontation because we do not want people to be offended or dislike us. So who do we fear then? Do we fear man or do we fear God?
David writes “Show me your ways, O Lord and teach me your paths”. Paul spoke up against Peter because he was inconsistent in his behaviour towards the gentiles when jews were around. In the same way we should not neglect to speak life and truth when a fellow believer stumbles. We should stand for what is right in God’s sight and what the Word of God teaches us. Never put mans needs above God’s needs.
David continues to say that the Lord is the God of his salvation (preservation or deliverance from harm, ruin, or loss) and on Him does he wait all day long. Seeking, desiring and drawing closer to God. My dear friend, let us not please the world but strive to please God in all we do and say and think.
Have an awesome day.
