There is much to be said about these verses and yet the essence of them are evident in the first four words “It was by faith”. We are made holy inwardly and cleansed of all sin when we accepted Jesus as our Lord and saviour. We are holy because He is holy. But do we live lives of sanctification (holiness)?
Yes we are made holy by the blood of Jesus but do we walk the talk so to say. Moses refused to accept the riches of Egypt and the life of luxury that it held. Instead he preferred to suffer for the sake of Christ because he knew what the reward is. I know that sin separates us from God and we kinda throw His grace back into His face when we fall back into our old ways. My dear friend, look at Moses. He ran from the world and its pleasure into the desert of the unknown.
He’s life changed when he stepped on to holy ground and met God in the burning bush. His faith grew stronger as he walked with God and trusted God. He walked through the red sea on dry land, stood in God’s presence, travelled through the desert under God’s care and protection into the promised land. Every season has its highs and lows. We walk by faith and not by sight. Let us align our lives with God in humble submission to His will and way.
Let’s live to desire a life of holiness in all aspects of our lives for the glory of our God.
Have an awesome day, my friend.
