Today Reminder - 29 October 2012 (Bold)

A reminder for today
Melchizedek blessed Abram with this blessing: "Blessed be Abram by God Most High,
Creator of heaven and earth. And blessed be God Most High, who has defeated your enemies for you." (Genesis 14:19-20)

Bold – trusting God for victory.

This is an interesting section in the life of Abram. His nephew Lot was captured and taken away by the armies of King Kedorlaomer of Elam, King Tidal of Goiim, King Amraphel of Babylonia, and King Arioch of Ellasar. One of his men escaped and told Abram who in turn took 318 men from his household and went after Kedorlaomer's army until he caught up with them at Dan. Here he defeated them and send them running to free Lot and all the prisoners.

What caught my attention is the bold way Abram got up and by faith followed them and defeated them with God’s help. What sounds almost impossible was made possible. Abram just got up and went after them, with no two thoughts about it.

How often do we stand before something and we know God will be with us, but we allow doubt to enter our minds and confuse us, when instead we must just get up and go after it. We must be bold in our actions as Abram was.

My dear friend, the Creator of heaven and earth is with you through all that awaits you, do not let doubt and fear take away victory but let God defeat your enemy and save you from failure, in Jesus name.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
