Today Reminder - 16 September 2013 (Day 11 - Victories)

A reminder for today
Then King David turned to the entire assembly and said, "My son Solomon, whom God has clearly chosen as the next king of Israel, is still young and inexperienced. The work ahead of him is enormous, for the Temple he will build is not for mere mortals—it is for the LORD God himself! (1 Chronicles 29:1)

How was your weekend? It was so nice visiting my parents of their farm again. Our boys had such an awesome time playing there that they both were out in dreamland just as soon as the wheels of the car started to turn on our way back.
I often see myself still as a child in the process of being a true Christian and these words of David felt so true this morning. I still feel inexperienced and the work ahead seems enormous. Do you find yourself in a place on your journey where you feel that you still have so much to learn and you have no idea how you will finally achieve your goal and live a life as Jesus did?

There are two things that are vital in our journey to achieve this. One is our mind-set and two is visualisation.

Mind-set – I always say that a positive mind equals a positive spirit and a positive body. If you believe you cannot achieve something you will not, but if you know you can and you trust God for the strength and the wisdom and the ability to do it, you will.

Visualisation – The way we see ourselves runs hand in hand with our mind-set. If we don’t see ourselves achieving our goals and then work towards them with a positive attitude, we will not be able to achieve them and we will fail. As soon as we see ourselves doing it and achieving it we will influence our minds and together this will let us complete our goals and be successful.

My dear friend, it may feel impossible but with God all things are possible and with the right mind-set and visualising yourself achieving your goals you can only be victorious.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
