Today Reminder – 9 January 2017

A reminder for today
We loved you so much that we shared with you not only God's Good News but our own lives, too. (1 Thessalonians 2:8)

How was your weekend, my friend? We had a great weekend. You will not believe how it is raining here in South Africa. God is so amazing and He is just pouring His blessing over us as the earth soaks in this much needed relief. This weekend it rained all weekend here in Pretoria so I got in a little more rest, which was just awesome. I am so grateful for that. I do hope you are well and that you are also experiencing God’s miracles just as we are here in South Africa. It is amazing when you start to look for those small miracles how many you will see in a day. So it is written, if you seek you will surely find. When you seek God you will see Him everywhere. I am currently reading a book on prayer based on the movie War Room by Stephen and Alex Kendrick. It is amazing and it just confirms again how important prayer is and how powerful prayer can be. It is something that we must never take for granted.

So today I want to remind you that I love you so much that I not only share God’s great news with you, but also my life. I gladly commit my life in prayer for you, my friend, because as we stand together we will overcome more, defeat more and keep the old enemy away.
So my challenge is, pray more.

Lord, as we fall to our knees with grateful hearts for all your blessings and especially the rain we lift our arms in worship to you. I pray that you will awaken a need in each one of us to spend more and more time with you. Be with us today as we put on your Armour and keep our eyes focused on you so that we will succeed no matter what we face. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
