Today Reminder - 05 February 2013 (Destroy)

A reminder for today
The false prophets or visionaries who try to lead you astray must be put to death, for they encourage rebellion against the LORD your God, who redeemed you from slavery and brought you out of the land of Egypt. Since they try to lead you astray from the way the LORD your God commanded you to live, you must put them to death. In this way you will purge the evil from among you.  (Deuteronomy 13:4)

Destroy all evil:

When I read this verse today where Moses warns the people of Israel against false prophets and how they should rid themselves from all evil, God gave me a picture of our lives and how we can be enslaved by our own evils and in this picture I can see that we must destroy these evils in our lives and give God all the praise that He deserves.

You see these evils can have huge negative results on your spiritual life and directly influence your relationship with God. It is in the things that we place ahead of God that will harm our spiritual wellbeing. If you replace God’s place in your life you are headed for disaster.

My dear friend, let us destroy all the evils that robs us from a personal relationship with God and  let us renew our relationship with God as we pledge to not be lead astray but to put our eyes on the Lord and seek Him first at all times. So today I would like to remind you again that you must refrain from falling into the trap of ignoring God and letting the enemy misguide you with pretty promises. When you find yourself in a place where you are bound to slip and fall, take a moment and ask God for direction, strength and freedom from this path. In this moment of weakness turn to God and call on His name.

I pray that you will destroy all evils in your life and give God more of you, in Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
