A
reminder for today
The
LORD your God will delight in you if you obey His voice and keep the commands
and decrees written in this Book of Instruction, and if you turn to the LORD
your God with all your heart and soul. (Deuteronomy 30:10)
Heading North:
The Lord has blessed us with this awesome gift to be able
to build our own home. This is quite an exciting time in our lives and even
more, quite a challenge that awaits us. Standing on our little stand and trying
to pin point where north is, made me think about life and how nice a compass
would’ve been at that moment.
This verse the Holy Spirit pointed out to me today is
just awesome. The Lord will delight in you if you obey His voice and commands. Now
the image I see is how we walk on our journey in life and from time to time we
leave our compass at home and then we tend to follow the wrong north. Or we
seem a little out with our direction. God’s Word is our compass and our true
north. We must measure all in life against this compass to make sure our north
is God’s north and our direction is His way. Then we will be able to follow His
voice and keep His commands. This is when God will delight in you. Now delight
also means enjoyment, pleasure, happiness, joy, gladness, enchantment and
amusement. This is how God will feel about you, if you are aligned with His way,
His voice and His commands.
My dear and wonderful friend, come and let us turn our
direction towards God so that we can obey His voice and follow Him with all our
heart and all our soul – our whole being.
I pray that you will find your true north in Jesus Christ
and follow Him with all your heart and all your soul, in Jesus name.

ReplyDeleteHow easy it is to loose your way. I found myself lately worrying more about what people think and how I can prove myself that I got stuck and dissapointed.
The Holy Spirit reminded me last night about this awesome piece you wrote and I was led to read it again. The picture shown to me was as if I was placing my compass where I could not see it.
I have to stop trying to impress people and focus more on what the Lord thinks of me and how He sees me. I find everything I need through the Word of God and that is and will be my guide!He will never leave me. My compass is pointing North again!
