Today Reminder – 29 January 2016

A reminder for today
So I did as he told me and found the potter working at his wheel. But the jar he was making did not turn out as he had hoped, so he crushed it into a lump of clay again and started over. (Jeremiah 18:3-4)

My dear friend, I am thinking about you today and I wonder how you are doing. I wonder if you are healthy and I wonder how you are doing with your challenges. I wonder about your way of life and I do hope you are doing well. You see God looks at us each day and He knows exactly who we are and how we are doing. He holds us in His hands and He keeps us safe from the continuous attacks from the enemy. But more than that we are like clay in the hands of a Master potter busy moulding us into a perfect jar that He can fill with His Spirit and bless us so that the world will see His master piece and stand in wonder of God’s power.

As we travel through life on our journey we are continuously learning and experiencing life with all its challenges. We gain knowledge and we learn how to apply it better. Not only do we learn more but we gain knowledge in God by spending time with Him and time in His Word. This is the makings of a perfect jar. The funny thing about us is that we can’t just crush ourselves into a lump of clay and start over again. We have to allow the Father to mould us slowly into perfection until we reflect Him flawlessly.

So today I want to remind you that are perfect and you must be patient as the Lord is moulding away the rough edges so that you can be all He wants you to be. He made you perfect and He will mould you into a perfect you. Smile at that face looking back from the mirror, because that is God’s masterpiece in the making.

Lord, we thank you for patience with us and for making us perfect in you. Let us become more of you and less of ourselves as you guide and teach us to be like you. Let us glorify you with every step. In Jesus name.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder – 28 January 2016

A reminder for today
But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit. (Jeremiah 17:7-8)

The one sad thing about this world is jealousy and rivalry. People are always so quick to get jealous over someone else when they are successful or when they receive an award. People can be very mean towards other especially when they feel threatened or when they have their own insecurities. I see it so often where people will say hurtful things to injure those they fear or feel threatened by. People take sides and often without looking at the facts and then they get nasty. People can build us up or they can bring us down merely by their tongues. The hurt of a word cuts much deeper than the hurt of physical pain.

We often find ourselves in a position where people attack us hurt us by their words. They will say terrible things to try and destroy us. The enemy is a master at this type of warfare. You see the enemy creates lust and envy in people and then direct their anger towards us so that we can fall and break down.

Today the Lord wants you to know that your are blessed, because you trust the Lord and you have made Him your hope and confidence. You are like a tree planted along a riverbank with your roots deep into the water. you will never be bothered by heat of drought. You will always produce fruit. You will never be bothered by other and their hatred and jealousy, because your roots are planted deep into the Lord and you will always live in His grace and blessings. You will succeed where other have failed and you will stand when other have fallen. You are a child of God.

"The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is? But I, the LORD, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve." (Verse 9 and 10)

Lord, our roots are planted in you. Do not let the enemy misguide us but let your name be glorified by our deeds as we face our challenges today. Let us succeed despite the difficulties that we face and let us be victorious for your glory. In Jesus name.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder – 27 January 2016

A reminder for today
The LORD says, "Now I will show them my power; now I will show them my might. At last they will know and understand that I am the LORD.” (Jeremiah 16:21)

I see Moses standing before the red sea just before they crossed it. I see the waves splashing onto the shore and I see the vast expanse of water that is impossible to cross. I see the Egyptian army furious and filled with hatred ready to crush the Israelites. I see God opening the sea before me and I watch as the water is ripped apart by His mighty hand into two walls creating a dry river bed for us to cross through. I see the Spirit filling the people with strength so that they can face their fears and walk quickly through. I watch the walls on the side as I look into the ocean almost as if I am in an aquarium. I see Moses helping the last person out on the other side and I watch as the Lord closes the walls on the Egyptian army.

I see you standing before your challenges and I watch as the Lord comes and pulls them apart creating a zone of peace and comfort where you can stand and watch your challenges from the outside. I see this vacuum where you find yourself in almost like a living room while your challenges are played on the television giving you time to see the solutions and implement them as you pause the television and change the odds so that I counts in your favour. I see you coming up with plans to succeed in all your problems as you stand up free and victorious.

Today I want you to hear the Lord when He says: Now I will show them my power; now I will show them my might. At last they will know and understand that I am the LORD. The world will watch in amazement at the miracles that we will see in our lives.

Lord, I pray that you will come and lead us through our challenges just as you took the Israelites through the red sea. Let us walk fearless and without doubt through the storms of our lives while we hold on to you. In Jesus name.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder – 26 January 2016

A reminder for today
When I discovered your words, I devoured them. They are my joy and my heart's delight, for I bear your name, O LORD God of Heaven's Armies. (Jeremiah 15:16)

There is great strength and wisdom in the Word of God. I love my time that I spend with the Word of God and how I always find fruit in it. In my dark times and in my happy times the Lord always seems to open His Word to me so that it becomes the very light that I use in my dark moments. When you start to discover the Word it is when you spend so much time with it that it becomes like a 3D movie. It is as if the Word comes to life in your hands as you read it and it consumes your mind. To read from God Word is a discovery for me and I truly devour His words as they are my joy and my heart’s delight. God’s Word is in me and I bear His name just as you bear His name, because you were bought with blood and freed from the chains of sin’s slavery. You bear the name of Jesus on you, my friend, so let it be visible to all.

So today I want to encourage you to spend more time in God’s Word and share your favourite verses or your Bible moments. I call the moments when God opens His Word to me my Bible Moments. They are awesome when the Word just comes to life in my mind and heart. So take you Bible and read it today and spend time with it. If you do not know where to start, start with Psalms, because David had many Bible Moments when he wrote.

Lord, I pray that you open your Word for us today and let it fil our minds and hearts as we discover more of you with every verse. Let your Word be our joy and delight as we step into another day. In Jesus name.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder – 25 January 2016

A reminder for today
At about three o'clock, Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?" which means "My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?" (Matthew 27:46)

Jesus calls out to the Father just before He dies on the cross "My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?” Have you ever felt like that, my friend? When we are facing overwhelming storms in our lives we often get that feeling and we just want to shout out to the Father. I do not know where you find yourself today and what storms you have waiting for you, but one thing I do know is that you must be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you. (Deuteronomy 31:6)

We are way too quick to doubt and definitely too quick to question. We are stubborn in that sense because the world of fast food and quick solutions has created a gap between us and God. We will rather seek our own way instead of patiently waiting for God to reveal His plan. Today I want us to turn back to God and seek His voice. I want us to humble ourselves like little children and remove the worldly chaos from our minds. I want us to become quiet again inside and desperately seek His voice. We must never look at our ability to hear God. We must trust in His ability to let us hear His voice. I love to talk to God and when I am troubled I would easily speak to Him as if His is visibly next to me. Although I can’t see Him, I know He is there and I know He hears what I say. It is our own disbelieve that hinders us to get closer to Him. I love the Father and I always have. Despite my mistakes I still seek Him every day and I know He is there, because I live in His grace like never before.

Lord, I pray that we will spend more moments talking to you and focus more on you, than our problems. Let us not remind you how big our problems are, but instead let us remind our problems how big you are. In Jesus name.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
