Today Reminder - 19 April 2013 (Grow)

A reminder for today
But Samuel, though he was only a boy, served the LORD. He wore a linen garment like that of a priest. Meanwhile, the boy Samuel grew taller and grew in favour with the LORD and with the people. (1 Samuel 2:18 and 24)

Eli’s son’s Hophni and Phinehas were terrible people and sinned against the Lord, while Samuel grew up serving God. It says here in 1 Samuel 2 that Samuel served the Lord and grew in favour with the Lord.

My dear friend, how do you serve the Lord? Do you grow in favour with the Lord or do you still sin against the Lord. We know that Hophni and Phinehas’s lives ended in disaster while Samuel grew up to be a great prophet. When we look at serving the Lord there is two things that I would like to remind you to do today. When we serve the Lord, we can only serve Him and no other. The Lord must have and own the first place in our hearts. And second to this is that we must continue to grow our relationship with God and dedicate our lives in living it according to His Word and guidance.

Come with me today so that we renew our dedication to the Lord and as we grow taller in our spiritual life, let us also grow in favour with the Lord as we continue to do His will and follow His Word.

A life lived for Jesus is a life worth living. You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind. (Luke 27)

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
