A
reminder for today
So he
got up and ate and drank, and the food gave him enough strength to travel forty
days and forty nights to Mount Sinai, the mountain of God. There he came to a
cave, where he spent the night. (1 Kings 19:8-9)
When I read this part where the food the angel gave
Elijah gave him enough strength to travel for forty days I thought about this
verse: For I can do everything through
Christ, who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:13)
My dear friend, there is more strength in Jesus than you
will ever be able to comprehend. The food Elijah ate isn’t even close to the
amount of power that lies within Jesus Christ. When the Holy Spirit lifts your
spirits and fills you with His presence you will be able to do anything through
Him that strengthens you. Jesus died so that you do not have to face God’s judgement
and in His resurrection lays so much strength for us, because we do not have to
fear death anymore. O death, where is
your victory? O death, where is your sting?" (1 Corinthians 15:55) We
do not have to concern ourselves over the constant battle against the forces of
evil, because they have no power over us.
My dear friend, the God we worship is an all-powerful
God, because He expelled satan from heaven without an argument. This is the God
that strengthens you, so you should not fear but instead you should live with a
new will and a new direction knowing that there is nothing ever greater than
our God.
I feel that God just wants you to open up your heart
today so that He can renew your strength and remind you that you are not alone
and that there is nothing that you should concern yourself about. He is with
you and He is in control.
