reminder for today
I was
glad when they said to me, "Let us go to the house of the LORD."
(Psalm 122:1)
It is not always so easy to stand up from the place where
we find ourselves after we’ve been through a tough time or while you are facing
huge challenges. Sometimes the hurt is more than we can carry and sometimes the
impact is just too great for us to recover quickly. So trying to stand when the
battle left you without any resources can be very hard. These are the times
when we should be quiet for a moment and just allow the Lord to pick us up.
When we are weak from exhaustion and broken from pain we must just go back. Go
back to the house of the Lord. Go back a few steps and start seeking Him again.
When we stand up out of disaster and return to Him we
will surely be glad for in our return we will realise that He never left. Even
when we felt the most alone in our struggles we were never alone. He is always
there and always by your side.
So when we stand up today out of the dirt or the mud or
wherever life has thrown us. Let us be glad and return to the house of the Lord
where we can celebrate His grace and praise His name. Let us stand again with
renewed joy as we fear no more.
