reminder for today
And
everyone assembled here will know that the LORD rescues his people, but not
with sword and spear. This is the LORD's battle, and he will give you to
us!" (1 Samuel 17:47)
So a little shepherd’s boy walked out into a battle field
with no weapons except a staff and a sling and with no armour of any kind, and
he defeated a giant.
There are three things I wish for you to make your own
out of this battle with Goliath:
Point number one: I
come to you in the name of the LORD of Heaven's Armies
David knew that his own strength is not nearly enough to
defeat Goliath, but he knew that God will destroy this enemy for him just as
you should know that when all seems lost, God will not fail you and God will
deliver you.
Point number two: Today
the LORD will conquer you, and the whole world will know that there is a God in
Israel
When faced with our daily challenges we should speak life
over ourselves and remember that the Lord will conquer them and in that He will
show Himself through you to the world around you so that people will know He is
God and He is your God.
Point number three: This
is the LORD's battle, and he will give you to us
With Jesus in your heart the battle is already won and
the victory is already in your hands. You should live each day as a champion of
God, because God will place the victories of life in your hands.
Come with me today and let us take on this day with new
strength and new determination. Nothing can separate us from God’s love and nothing
can defeat us when the battle is God’s battle.
