Today Reminder - 18 July 2013 (My Strength)

A reminder for today
The next day at about the time when the morning sacrifice was offered, water suddenly appeared! It was flowing from the direction of Edom, and soon there was water everywhere. (2 Kings 3:20)

King Joram and King Jehoshaphat joined forces and set out to attack Moab. On their way they did not have any water for their animals and they asked Elisha what God wanted them to do. Elisha told them that God would send water the next day and as they woke water just appeared. This is one of those miracles that you read and you need to stop here for a moment. Water suddenly appeared! Wow! We worship an awesome God.

The image in my head this morning is bad times. I don’t know if you have ever felt that you are just tired. You try and try and try, but you seem to keep on losing the battle. You get to a place where you feel overburdened and all your attempts seem to be invaluable. It is those days where you wish you just stayed in bed. You feel miserable and sad and life just seems unfair. The Lord says that it is in these times that His strength will just appear in rivers that flow through us. On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, "Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, 'Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.'" (John 7:37-38)

My dear friend, I do not know if you are there in a place where you feel down or if it will happen soon, what I do know is that the Lord will let rivers of strength flow through you so that you will rise stronger than ever before. He wants you to seek Him in this time and let Him strengthen you so that you will be victorious against the enemy and all their attempts to bring you down. I just feel that the Lord wants you to remember that He is greater than anything that you could ever face and that His Spirit wants to fill your whole existence so that the enemy can never find a place to get a grip on you.

For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:13)

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
