Today Reminder – 17 January 2014 (Day 13 – A New Horizon)

A reminder for today
I said to the LORD, "You are my Master! Every good thing I have comes from you." The godly people in the land are my true heroes! I take pleasure in them!” (Psalm 16:2-3)

In every new horizon there is something that we need or really want. It is in receiving something that you thought might never happen that you truly realise God’s love for you. Everything good comes from God and everything that we have is out of His grace. But one thing that God gives us that are more valuable than we could ever imagine is friends.

My dear friend today I want to write to you as the godly people in the land and you are my true heroes. It is a pleasure to know that you walk into every new horizon with your eyes on God and your heart filled with His Holy Spirit. Through all the challenges that enemy brings on your journey and through all the sorrow and joy that you deal with, you remain faithful to the Lord.

You are indeed my heroes and it is a privilege to share His Word with you each day. I take great pleasure in you. I am so blessed with such wonderful friends and I am in awe of the wonders that God is doing through His Word on this blog. God is my Master and my desire in this new horizon is to live a life so much closer to Him and to share that with you as we grow our relationship with the Lord together.

Come with me today and let us stand firm so that the enemy will not be able to disrupt our course and break our focus. Let us stand firm for I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. (Verse 8)

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
