Today Reminder – 05 August 2015 (Day 3 – You)

A reminder for today
Who among you fears the LORD and obeys his servant? If you are walking in darkness, without a ray of light,
trust in the LORD and rely on your God. But watch out, you who live in your own light and warm yourselves by your own fires. This is the reward you will receive from me: You will soon fall down in great torment. (Isaiah 50:10-11)

You, you are made with love by an amazing God. He loves you more than you can imagine and His love is greater than the universe in comparison with our world. He follows your every move and seeks only the best for you in your lifetime.
I love these verses. God does not want us to battle with our own strength and power; He wants us to battle with our hearts focussed on Him and our faith driven by His guidance. He wants us to fight with His strength and praise Him for our victories.

Nothing we do, we do out of our own strength and ability. All that we are is a blessing that God bestowed on us. Each unique quality that is combined to form the person we are with the talents we have, is part of God’s recipe when He made us so that we fit into His master plan.

You are who you are by design and not by your own self-made power. So here is the key that you need in understanding God way completely: He made you with a unique purpose and He gave you all the talents and abilities that you need to fulfil this purpose. God did not make us all the same, but you must understand that a teacher is just as important as a doctor and a truck driver as an engineer. In God’s world we are not weighted by our income, but by our commitment to His glory. God does not rate you by the car you drive and the house you live in and the education you can provide for your kids. God rates you by the way you do it, your love and your ability to resemble His way. Jesus was not rich and He was a carpenter, but He changed the world by His way and the way He followed God. We can change the world by the way we live and the way we follow Him.

Your treasure should be in heaven, not here on earth. Your heart should be God’s heart and not corrupted by this world.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
