Today Reminder – 25 August 2015 (Day 16 – You)

A reminder for today
Go out through the gates! Prepare the highway for my people to return! Smooth out the road; pull out the boulders; raise a flag for all the nations to see. (Isaiah 62:10)

I must say that each day in the gym proves to be an experience. There are the most interesting people in God’s creation. You get the newbie’s that has absolutely no idea what they are doing and they are on a “Men’s Health” workout that is recommended for advanced athletes on their way to an injury, then there are the models. They are the ones that visit the gym each day but most of their exercises are focussed on glancing in the mirror and looking around to see who noticed their impeccable physique, make up and designer wear. Then you get the power lifters, this group of extraordinary individuals are huge fans of “The Hulk” because they focus on lifting weights that far surpasses their strength, yet they make it look like it was a piece of cake. Then you find the muscle mania self-obsessed types. They have fairly good bodies and spend most of their workouts standing around and giving advice, while flexing. Then you find the tourist, they travel from machine to machine enjoying a good hours rest. Then you get the workers, they come in, they work hard and they go. They are always focussed and they train almost every day. Yes they are all unique and each one has their own individuality, yet it almost seems sad to see how we live past each other and focus so much on ourselves.

I love this verse. Go out through the gates! Prepare the highway for my people to return! We are here to show Jesus to the world and we fail terribly most of the time. We can be so self-consumed and worldly that we miss opportunities to change lives. Yesterday a friend reminded me that we must become more like Jesus.

Less of us more of Him – This means we will project who He is and give a clearer picture of His love to the people around us. This will not only affect other but change who we are and who we are meant to be. It is not about you, my friend. It is all about Jesus.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
