Today Reminder – 07 August 2015 (Day 5 – You)

A reminder for today
"I, yes I, am the one who comforts you. So why are you afraid of mere humans, who wither like the grass and disappear? Yet you have forgotten the LORD, your Creator, the one who stretched out the sky like a canopy
and laid the foundations of the earth. Will you remain in constant dread of human oppressors? Will you continue to fear the anger of your enemies? Where is their fury and anger now? It is gone!” (Isaiah 51:12-13)

Yes I, am the one who comforts you…

Comfort is a security and feeling of relieve. Security in the sense of being protected from evil and relieve being that feeling when your fear was completely unnecessary. Where do you seek comfort, my friend? Where do you go when you ae at the end of your strength?

I love to wake up early and iron the clothes I washed the day before. You see my boys stay over twice a week and when we get home I put them in the bath and wash their clothes. In the morning I wake up early and iron those clothes and I find that this quite time can be quite comforting. I always joke and say that there is many voices in my head, but funny thing is when I stand and iron I almost feels real when I think about all the things that is done and still needs to be done. I find myself coming up with solutions for difficult tasks at work and I make lists of things I still need to do. This time alone is almost my comfort time and time when I can truly feel the Lord’s presence as I listen to the boys sleeping in the next room. Sometimes I think that this small moment in the morning is the most perfect time I have all day.

My comfort is the Lord. He is my place where I hide and show my true emotions. He is my security and my relive and a little time with Him relaxes me completely, for in that time I renew my faith and place unquestionable trust in His will and His way.

It is in this complete expectance that I can find freedom and light for my darkness. so today I want to challenge you, not to wake up early and iron, but take a moment and ask God to give you this comfort, for I will fear none, because He is with me.

Seek your comfort in Him, my friend.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
