Today Reminder – 15 February 2016

A reminder for today
Then the LORD took hold of me and said, "Get up and go out into the valley, and I will speak to you there." (Ezekiel 3:22)

I woke this morning and for a moment I just sat on the side of the bed waiting for my eyes to adjust to the faint light in a dark house. All was quiet and for moment I was there with the Lord in the garden of Gethsemane. I got up and started my morning ritual getting myself ready for the day ahead. Now as I sit here writing to you I can feel how the Lord is telling me that we need to spend more time with Him. God says: "Get up and go out into the valley, and I will speak to you there."

The valley is your quiet place. You see when you spend time with God you must seek out a quiet place so that all of you are focussed on Him. When you are quiet you will feel His presence and you must allow it to consume all of you. Let His Spirit fill all of you so that your body will feel like exploding as the Lord this fills all in you and all around you. Take your time and speak to Him, but most important, listen for His voice. In this valley of peace that you now find yourself in, the Lord will speak to you here. Listen and let His words into your soul and into the very core of your being. This is the passion in my heart and the stirring in my soul. To hear Him as He speaks to me and allow Him to guide each and every step I take.

I life for you Lord, all of me desires more of you. Lord, I pray that you will lead us to the valley and that you will speak to us and guide us as we follow your voice. Become the very beacon of our journey and navigation system by which we align our feet and reconcile our hearts. Be that faint light we see in the darkness and become the very sun that fills our lives with warmth and life. In Jesus name.

Let every knee bow down and every voice declare that Jesus Christ is the Lord.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
