A
reminder for today
Your
unfailing love, O LORD, is as vast as the heavens; your faithfulness reaches
beyond the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your
justice like the ocean depths. You care for people and animals alike, O LORD.
How precious is your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the
shadow of your wings. You feed them from the abundance of your own house,
letting them drink from your river of delights. For you are the fountain of
life, the light by which we see. (Psalm 36:5-9)
It has been raining non-stop since Sunday and I must
admit even though it is quite a challenge with the kids in the morning, I like
it. I have always loved the rain. That soft relaxing drizzle that harmonically
falls all over the ground and the clean smell that rain creates is just
amazing. It has always been something that relaxed me. I guess rain does not
have the same effect on everybody. There are those who surely does not enjoy it as
much as I do and I can only imagine how untimely it can be if you planned
something for outside.
When we look at rain in our lives, you know those storms
that we all fear and dislike, I guess we could say the same. You are either ok
with it and you accept it or you can resist and hate it. These verses from
David’s Psalm are so awesome. I love his way of comparing God’s love with the
heavens and His faithfulness that reaches beyond the clouds. You can see that
David had huge challenges in his life, because we can only see God like that
when we truly humble ourselves and place our trust and faith completely in Him.
Then you will feed from the abundance of His house and you
will drink from His river of delights. For Jesus is our fountain of life and
the light by which we should see.
Let Jesus be your eyes today. Let us see the world how He
wants us to see it. Let us trust like He wants us to trust. Let His strength
flow through us as we share His abundance and His river of delight.
