Today Reminder – 19 May 2014 (Day 13 – Everywhere)

A reminder for today
May the glory of the LORD continue forever! The LORD takes pleasure in all he has made! The earth trembles at his glance; the mountains smoke at his touch. (Psalm 104:31-32)

I was watching my son play rugby when this thought came to mind. Today God is in my abilities and the things I do so well. He is in my work and in my sport. He is my strength when I exercise and my happiness when I am with my family. He is my all and all that I am good at. May His glory continue forever in all that I do and in all that I am.

I have so often been amazed at how wonderful God guides and blesses me in my work. Sometimes things seems difficult and hard to do, but eventually the Lord shows me a way to do it and this ability is the one thing I am sure does not come from myself. God is surely present in my work and the way I do it.

God is in our hearts and in our words and therefore we must be careful what we say and do and especially what we think. Our thoughts can so easily be portrait in our actions and in our attitudes. This is very quickly absorbed by people around us and how can God be our abilities if we reject His input.

Let us take special care today in how we do things and what we do. We have been blessed with so many wonderful strengths that make each one of us unique. There is no reason to envy other. Rather focus on what you are good at and allow God to be present in these gifts. He gave them to you so He will surely bless you so that you can utilize them to their full potential for His glory.

Today He is my hands and the works of my hands.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
