Today Reminder (Revolution) – 08 January 2018

A reminder for today
So give Your servant an understanding mind and a hearing heart [with which] to judge Your people, so that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge and rule this great people of Yours?”. (1 Kings 3:9)

I do hope you had a great weekend and that you are well rested for the week ahead. I want to add to our sermon yesterday, because I believe a revolution is at hand. You see we are Christians, but we are not revolution starters. We are reluctant to fight the battle on our knees. Maybe it is because we are not aware of the power of prayer or maybe we lack the faith. Whatever the reason it is time for us to become warriors and take the fight to the enemy.

If you look at people like Smith Wigglesworth you will see that prayer was a large part of his life. Smith believed in the power of the name of Jesus. He prayed and fasted frequently and surrounded himself with people that he knew loved to pray. Smith Wigglesworth was an evangelist whose childlike faith in Jesus led to the performance of many lasting miracles of great worth and a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the Church during his lifetime.

Smith would pray, and the blind would see, and the deaf were healed, people came out of wheelchairs, and cancers were destroyed. One remarkable story is when He prayed for a woman in a hospital. While he and a friend were praying she died. He took her out of the bed stood her against the wall and said, "in the name of Jesus I rebuke this death". Her whole body began to tremble. Then he said, "in the name of Jesus walk", and she walked. Everywhere he would go he would teach and then show the power of God. He began to receive requests from all over the world. He taught in Europe, Asia, New Zealand and many other areas. When the crowds became very large he began a "wholesale healing". He would have everyone who needed healing lay hands on themselves and then he would pray. Hundreds would be healed at one time.

We need to be like this. We need revival and revolution. We need to stand up and say that we will take this no more and we should show the glory of God and change this world. We must stand firm in our faith and trust the Lord our God. It is time, my friend. This year will be known as the year we brought God back into this world as we claim it in His name. This year will see people change, nations change, and countries change. This year will be known as the year we started to pray, and the Lord showed this world His power. I have already written that our message for this year is that God is going to do something new.

I believe this, and I believe we are about to see many miracles and amazing things when God speaks. I believe that the enemy will have a very hard time, because I know we will have many prayer warriors in this year and we will see the power of prayer as we unite. It is a revolution against the forces of evil.

Lord, I pray that every Christian will have an unstoppable desire to pray and that we will pray more often. In the name of Jesus.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
