Today Reminder (Hope) – 23 May 2018

A reminder for today
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. (James 1:12)

When you look at our current situation in South Africa hope can seem as something that looks as a distant dream. The far left is shouting for land reform in the case of taking land and giving it to the black people. Their argument is a flat and unrealistic believe that all the land was taken by force and that white people own the most land. This has been proven by research and historical fact as one of the worst lies ever propagated. Land in South Africa was taken by force by black over black and when the white settlers arrived here there was already a genocide done by the Zulu people over their neighbouring black tribes. In fact, Shaka Zulu nearly wiped out all the other black races to the extend that they had to fled for the lives. The white settlers that arrived at that time purchased land from Dingane after which he brutally murdered them. This led to the famous battle of blood river where God delivered the settlers from the hands of the Zulu’s. We still celebrate this day, today on the 16th of December. Now, I do not promote the injustices done by the apartheid government just as I do not promote the injustices allowed by the current government.

So, the whole outcry that the left is making to take land back is a complete lie, because all they want to do is to nationalise the land which means no one will own any land. The state, that has shown us how corrupt they truly are, will own all the land. This is communism at its best. Again, hope seems a little far.

If they really want to change the lives of people in South Africa, they should start by stopping crime and uplifting our education system. Almost 80% of our schools is not working, because of violence and crime. This means that instead of uplifting their people they are in fact breaking them down. If we educate people and stop crime and bring down inflation you will see a massive change, but it is not about that. Once again it is all about the riches and greed of a corrupt government. Therefore, you can see that hope is not easily found.

I can go on, but I will stop with this. In a study only 1% of our population said that their lives will improve with land reform. So, what does God say about this. God said that if His people will stop their ways and return to Him, He will heal their land. Many South Africans are finding their way back to God and I believe He will come and He will save His people, no matter who you are or what colour you are. God says that He will bless those who endure, because we will be tested and tried and in the end, we will receive the crown of life that is promised by God.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
