A reminder for
today
Thou believest that
there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. (James 2:19)
How are you, my friend? It is crisp and chilly Tuesday
morning here in our country. I am not sure what the weather is like in your
country, but what I do know is that Jesus can change any weather conditions. If
it is winter in your life, God can change that and bring a new season into your
life. The thing is, and I have said it before, we do not right size God. This
verse is so powerful, just listen to what James says. He says that the devils believe,
and they tremble.
Now, I think we should say that again. The devils believe,
and they tremble before God. Do we tremble? If you think about your day. Would
you think that during today you will display a life that trembles before God
and shares His love?
Do you sin or did you sin? Have you lied? Have you hated? Have you
used the Lord’s name in vain? Have you murdered (Remember abortion is murder)? Have
you desired? In God’s court breaking one sin is like breaking them all. What do
we do?
The best thing is that we do not have to do anything. Jesus
came and did it for us. He gave His life out of love for us all. He changed our
destiny. When you accepted Him as your saviour, all your sins are forgiven. All
your mistakes are no more, and all your burdens is lifted. You are a new person
with a new life. God gives you a new heart and new spirit. You need to make
sure that you repented and repented with a true heart. God looks at your heart
and He sees how you truly feel.
This new birth in Jesus changes your direction, your path
and your destiny. Now, when you know that Jesus came not to condemn but to save
you also know that you are free. When you have done this and turned away from
your old life and accepted this new life, you are now a new person. Your way of
life changes and if you have truly given up your old lway of life, everyone will see that in you and how
you live.
Now, we believe, but we do not need to tremble, because our
sins are forgiven, and we are children of God. We do not need to tremble like
the devils, we must shine so that we can tell other about Jesus and how He changed
our lives. Take a stand for Jesus and shine.
