A
reminder for today
I am
the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through
me (John 14:6)
Today I just want to remind you that you must not accept
the lies of the enemy but you should embrace the truth that is in Jesus Christ.
Paul said that we are not fighting
against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the
unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil
spirits in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Our battle is not one that
is seen but one that happens inside us. We face the waves of a stormy sea and
the eruptions of a blood thirsty volcano and sometimes we are the only ones
that see our battle. We stand in the midst of this storm as it rages around us
and everyone else just carries on with their daily lives. It is here in our
battle where the Lord stands so firm with us. It is here when we tremble at the
sight of our battles that we rise with hope and we defeat with faith. It is
when we stumble and fall and stand up again with determination, and our hearts
firmly grounded on the foundation of Jesus, that we carry on no matter the
load. It is the knowledge of the Cross and the life that awaits us that
motivates us. It is the way we understand the difference between temporary and
eternity. And finally it is the way we are loved first that we can love unconditionally
without remorse. It is in our walk and in our talk. It is who we are and, it is
why we are.
