Today Reminder – 23 November 2016

A reminder for today
Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! (Philippians 4:4)

The shops has already started with their Christmas decorations and the business world is preparing for a festive season where everyone will spend their money on gifts and decorations. It is the season to be jolly. It is also the season where the enemy has succeeded in so many ways to steel the true joy from Christmas. For so many Christmas comes once a year as they rush to the shops and act all happily as they all miss the truth.

For us Christmas is just another reminder of the true joy we have in the Lord. Christmas should come around 365 days a year, because each morning we wake up it is a gift and we start our day with Jesus Christ. So we celebrate Him every moment of every day for the real joy is in the Lord. It is in His grace and in His love and in His miracles that we live with each day.

So our challenge is to always be full of joy in the Lord. To rejoice and to live with that joy each day. To show this joy to all as we walk in His Word with His strength and His blessings. We let this joy shine as the Lord reigns down on this world and we see Him in all. It is what we know and how we are different because of the truth that we know now. We are set free by this and therefore our joy is ever lasting, not just once a year.

Lord, we thank you for all that you have done for us and we rejoice in you today as we are filled by your joy and truth that sets us free from this world. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
