Today Reminder – 9 November 2016

A reminder for today
Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ. (Philippians 1:27)

Labels is such a today thing. People wear Nike or guess or puma and then automotive industries turned into fashion like Jeep or John Deere. And then there are the trends I don’t even know of like 2Bop or Lilly’s Closet. Why we have to look at her closet, no idea. Anyway, we like labels. Here in South Africa the youth are the major label seekers. But we label ourselves also. We label us on our background or our circumstances or even with the people we are friends with. If a friend wears superga we will identify with them and we will wear the same. The only problem is that we use worldly things to identify with and we look at popular people for a role model when instead we should put a Jesus label on who we are.

Not that I want us to start wearing Jesus branded clothing or put Jesus stickers on our cars. No, we should live a life that labels us as Jesus followers. We should walk in His footsteps and display Him in all that we do. The way we talk, the way we are with other, the way we live, the way we love and the way we show kindness. I always say that you can see Jesus in a person’s eyes. Your eyes are the window to your soul and if Jesus inhabits that soul you will see it in their eyes. The love of Jesus will glow from within. And believe me when Jesus enters you cannot hide it. It just burst from within.

So today I want you to put on your Jesus fashion wear and wear Him wherever you go. He is by far the coolest trend now and forever.

Lord, I pray that we will live as citizens of heaven. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
