A reminder for
today
Beloved, follow
not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God:
but he that doeth evil hath not seen God. (3 John 1:11)
It is Monday and I can’t believe it. The weekend was so
quick. I am tired this morning and I could do with a little more rest. We are
well away in our project but there are still so many that needs to happen
before we can release and our time is running out. How are things on your side,
my friend? I do hope my message finds you well and that you are uplifted by God’s
wonder and grace and that you are at peace. We have so much to be grateful for
and as each day passes by I realize more and more how wonderful our God is.
John reminds us that we should stay clear of evil and anyone
that does evil is not from God or rather has never seen or known God. We live
in an evil world filled with lies and deception. Each day many people are hurt
by the corruption and greed that sickens our world. John says that we should
follow that which is good. I want to add and say that not only must we follow
good we must display good. We must be good. Evil cannot breed in love and where
love is there God is. So, when we do good out of love we show God and invite
God to do more and greater things. We just need to start it and God will take
it further. Our mission is the gospel and spreading the amazing news of a
loving and wonderful creator. God will save the lost when they hear and accept
the message.
Therefore, on this wonderful and lovely Monday I challenge
you to be good and to do good. Be the one that turns away from evil and show
the wonder of God’s love and grace to everyone around you.
Lord, thank you for your grace and mercy. Guide us in this
day so that we will do good and show your love to all we meet. In Jesus name.
