Today Reminder – 14 November 2014 (Day 10 – Moments)

A reminder for today
Don't put your trust in mere humans. They are as frail as breath. What good are they? (Isaiah 2:22)

I am thinking about influences today. And there goes my mind back twenty five years when I was still in school. I remember as a boy how easily you could be influenced by what other think is cool. When you are young you would do almost anything to be accepted and to be part of a group. When you are young you can be so gullible and naïve. When we get older that all changes and you get to a point where these things don’t bother so much anymore but we are still affected inside of what other say and think of us. I guess that need for acceptance never really dies.

The only problem is where we seek our acceptance and our help. Today I know that my acceptance that I desire is with God, and you know the funny thing is that we do not need to do anything for that acceptance. He accepts us just as we are, because He made us just as we are. Each one of us is special in his or her own way and we are uniquely designed for God’s purpose. Yes, my friend you have a purpose and believe it or not, your purpose in this world is just as important as that of world leaders.

It is the world and our worldly perspectives that belittle our design and purpose. But it is when we are in Jesus and we change our way we see the world when we will realise our true purpose. We are here for His glory no matter where you are or what you do. Mere humans will not be able to guide and lead you to your full purpose. Nope, only God will pick up a fear filled child and make a fearless warrior.

He is more than a breath, He is my breath.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
