Today Reminder – 7 November 2014 (Day 5 – Moments)

A reminder for today
So don't be too good or too wise! Why destroy yourself? On the other hand, don't be too wicked either. Don't be a fool! Why die before your time? (Ecclesiastes 7:16-17)

I always say that everyone dies and that we should never look at death as a bad thing. Death eventually comes to us all, because such is the way of life. We are not made too live forever here on earth, we are made to live a life for Jesus and then live eternally after this life. Lately there have been so many stories in the news about suicides here in South-Africa. People who jumped from high buildings and then the worst one so far were of a twelfth year old boy who took his own life.

So today my moment is about life and death and how short life really is. If I say that life is short and that you should not waste a single moment allowing evil to take your happiness from you and  you could have a thousand arguments that will follow with bad things that happen to good people. Sometimes people are so affected by bad things or bad times that they tend to give up. When your safety net is destroyed and you are left vulnerable to the world and the evil that lies within it, you can so easily be pushed to your limits.

My friend, you might not understand what I am about to say, but I pray that the Lord will give you guidance in this. This life, this world and this body is all only temporary. They will all end and be destroyed when you reach your destination. It is the Spirit that lives in the body that is truly you and who you really are. This Spirit is in God’s hands and nothing can reach it unless you allow it. Although you feel the pain and hurt that the body produces, it will have no effect in eternity. So, do not allow the enemy to fill your mind with nonsense but instead allow God to fill your Spirt with life. This spring of life will never run dry and it will leave you content and fulfilled with and abundance of joy that can never be taken from you. It is the Jesus factor that changes our hurt into joy. Although the memory remains, the way we look towards tomorrow will never be the same again when we see Jesus in our lives the way we were intended to see Him. Jesus died so that we can live, but He never said that this live is going to be easy. He said it is going to be tough, but He will never leave us to face it alone. Seek Him my friend and make Him part of your pain and your joy. This way, you will not fall. You will rise above all.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
