Today Reminder – 15 March 2017

A reminder for today
I look up to the mountains—does my help come from there? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth!  (Psalm 121:1-2)

Even in my darkest time, there is a promise that I will find the light that will rescue me. He is my prince of peace and my redeemer. In Him, I place my hope, all my fears, and all my worries. They may seem like mountains when I look at them, but then I know that my help does not come from me or my strength is not limited to me. My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth and in Him, I find unlimited strength and hope. He is my rock and the only way I want to walk.

For God has said, "I will never fail you. I will never abandon you." So we can say with confidence, “The LORD is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?" (Hebrews 13)

Therefore, I will stand and shout out His name. I will have no fear and I will fight this battle with confidence, because He is my helper. I will not allow darkness to enter where I am, because I am filled with the light of Jesus Christ and nothing can dampen it.

Today all I ask is that you will remember that the Lord is your helper. He is the one that you must call and He is the one that you must trust. These mountains that overlooks you, they will move, because your faith is in the Lord and He calmed the storm, destroyed death and rescues us from sin. With Him those mountains will have no chance.

Lord, in you we find our strength and courage. Carry us through this day and lead us on your path so that we can move our mountains and display you through our faith. Let us wear your armour and resist the enemy. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
