Today Reminder – 2 March 2017

A reminder for today
But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don't be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you. (2 Timothy 4:5)

It is grey skies that covers Pretoria this morning as the promise of more rain fills our minds. We look at the beauty of the earth around us, as it turns greener with every drop that falls. It is a blessed time, but it is also a terrible time as more attacks on foreigners take place each day. It seems as if people have lost their minds. They are driven by an uncontrollable rage and they just fuel each other more and more with every attack.

The enemy is prowling around seeking more unprepared victims to devour as his lust for destruction drives his need for more pain. Every day we are faced with many situations where he takes every possible measure to find a point where he will cause you to fall. What do we do when we know that he lusts at our demise?

It is quite simple actually. Start with clearing your mind and remove the worldly noise that the enemy throws at us. Take a moment and be silent – restart. Let your mind be completely empty as this flows into your body. Open the Word of God and read the scriptures. Let His Word fill your mind and His Words flow through you. Then let the Holy Spirit fill you with His presence and let His voice guide you as your mind is now filled with God and with His Words.

Now, stand again and look at those challenges the enemy created. Yes, they do look like they are gone or just became so small, because our God is bigger than anything the little enemy can dish up.

Our God is and awesome God.

So today, fear not, be brave and courageous as we stand up and live. We are holy, because He is holy. We are strong, because He is stronger. We are victorious, because He already won this battle. We are free, because He took our sin and broke our chains.

Lord, thank you for all that you do and all that you have done for us. You are amazing and we give you our hearts and souls. Let your kingdom come and let your will be done. Holy is your name and we worship you alone. Forgive us our sins and lead us not into temptation and deliver us from evil. Carry us through our challenges and let us wear your armour courageously as we take on today. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
