A reminder for
today
For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to
sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look
for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They
will reject the truth and chase after myths. (2 Timothy 4:3-4)
How was your weekend, my friend? Mine was nice and relaxing.
We watched “Collateral Beauty” this weekend. It is a movie with a very strong
cast and a very interesting story. It is one of those movies that stays with
you for a while after you watched it. It is a story of a man who lost a child
and how he needs to deal with it. He basically blames time, death and love for
his loss. Time, because time was robbed from him with his daughter. Death, because
death did not want to trade and take him instead. Love, because love betrayed
him. Now when he confronted love, love said something that just captured me. She
said that love is part of you and all around you. Love is you and love is in
your good and bad moments. Love will never abandon you. This was just amazing, because
God is love and He is all around us and in us and He will never abandon us.
We live in a time where people no longer listen to teaching.
They follow whoever says what they want to hear. So many churches has taken the
same path and started to preach what people want to hear. People will reject
truth and follow a lie. This is why it is so important that we do not lose the
truth but continue to fight that people hear it and change their ways.
So today, let us speak only the truth and remind other of
their wrongs and lead them to the correct truth and the way Jesus wants us to
live. Let us stop listening to the lies of the enemy and start to see Jesus. Let us show Jesus and in this let us show people the light and lead them
away from darkness.
Lord, be our voice and our ears. Be our hands and our feet
so that we will say what you want us to say and hear what you need us to hear. Let
us carry your message with our hands and feet and lead the lost to your light. Let
us wear your armour and stand on you as our rock and foundation. In Jesus name.
